About This Spot

Stepping into Paul at Vacoas-Phoenix is like entering a familiar yet quietly refined corner of the day where time slows just enough to appreciate the moment. This café carries a gentle rhythm — the soft murmur of conversations mingles with the clink of cups and delicate footsteps, creating a welcoming hum that wraps around you.

Inside, the atmosphere is comfortably serene, marked by well-crafted pastries and thoughtfully prepared sandwiches that hint at a dedication to quality without any rush or fuss. The scent of fresh-baked goods is subtle but inviting, drawing you toward a languid pause in your day. Although the pace here encourages calm, there’s an undercurrent of seen-and-known routine, a place where locals return to savor small daily rituals.

Those choosing a spot indoors will find a cozy nook to settle into, while the outdoor seating, though more casual and straightforward in its presentation, offers a breezy alternative with a glimpse of the world passing by. From whichever vantage point, Paul feels like a space attentive to the nuances of a good café experience—where people linger over familiar flavors and gentle service that never rushes but remains attentive.

The offerings here—the éclairs, operas, and signature pastries—aren’t just items on a menu but companions to quiet conversation, solo reflections, or a shared moment with a friend. The food’s sincerity lies in its consistent quality, with understated touches that reward returning guests.

Went at the Soflo's outlet today. I always take the opera. One of Paul's best! Tried the éclair café. Quite good but the chocolate's one always the yummiest. Tasted its burger. Not bad. Can include more sauces. Overall impressive and good customer service.

I really enjoy PAUL — the food is consistently tasty, especially the pastries and sandwiches. The service was polite and efficient, and the overall atmosphere inside is quite pleasant. However, I was a bit disappointed to learn that if you choose to sit outside, they only serve food in takeaway packaging and drinks in plastic cups. It takes away from the café experience a bit. Still, a solid place for a quick bite or coffee, just better enjoyed indoors.
